Brian E. Farley, President and CEO, was the company's first employee in 1995 and has led VNUS since 1996. Mr. Farley previously held various management and executive positions in research and development, clinical research and business development at Guidant Corporation, a leading medical device company, and in the medical device division of Eli Lilly & Co. Mr. Farley holds a BS in engineering with an emphasis in biomedical engineering and an MS in electrical engineering, both from Purdue University.
Peter Osborne
Peter Osborne, CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration, joined VNUS in 2008 after serving as its Interim CFO in 2007. Mr. Osborne has over 25 years of industry experience having held consulting CFO and senior finance leadership positions at Sanmina-SCI, Mercury Interactive/HP, Optillion AB, Neopolitan Networks and WorldChain. Prior to WorldChain, Mr. Osborne was an audit partner at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Osborne holds a BS (Honors) degree in Operations Research and a Bachelor of Commerce degree both earned from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Mohan F. Sancheti
Mohan F. Sancheti, Vice President, Manufacturing, joined VNUS in 2006 from W. L. Gore and Associates, a medical device company, where he held various senior engineering and manufacturing management positions and helped drive the commercial launch process for Stent-Graft products. Mr. Sancheti previously held several engineering positions at Raychem Corporation. He holds an MS in manufacturing engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a BSME from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India.
William A. Franklin
William A. Franklin, VP of Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, joined VNUS in 2007. He previously worked at IsoTis OrthoBiologics, Inc., where he was VP of Operations. Prior to IsoTis, Mr. Franklin was an independent QA and regulatory affairs consultant, and his 30-year career also includes senior-level roles at Artecel Sciences, Inc., Interpore Cross International, Inc., Allergan Optical, Inc. and Quest Medical, Inc. Mr. Franklin holds a BS in microbiology from California State University at Long Beach.
Mark S. Saxton
Mark S. Saxton, Vice President of U.S. Sales, is a six-year veteran of VNUS and assumed his current post in 2007 after stints as Director of Sales and Midwest Regional Sales Manager. Prior to VNUS, Mr. Saxton held sales management positions at InnerDyne Medical, Inc. and the plastic surgery division of PMT Corp. He holds a business administration degree from Western Michigan University.
Kirti Kamdar
Kirti Kamdar, Senior Vice President of Research & Development, joined VNUS in 2007 after serving as Sr. VP of R&D, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for Cardiac Dimensions. Mr. Kamdar previously held VP of R&D and Manufacturing responsibilities at Vascular Architects, Somnus Medical Technologies and Guided Medical Systems. Mr.Kamdar earned his Masters Degree in Polymer Engineering and Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from the University of Houston, Texas.
